Comover’s Off-Platform Policy
Comover connects professionals with Hosts offering meeting rooms and flexible workspaces.
To maintain a fair and trustworthy marketplace, bookings made through Comover should remain on the platform. At the same time, we recognize that Hosts and Bookers may need to communicate or arrange additional services outside Comover.
This policy explains what is permitted and what is not.
Keeping Bookings on Comover
Hosts and Bookers must not intentionally circumvent Comover's booking and payment processes to avoid applicable platform fees.
The following activities are prohibited:
- Encouraging Bookers to cancel an existing Comover reservation and rebook directly with the Host.
- Requesting payment outside Comover for a reservation initiated through the platform.
- Offering discounts specifically to persuade Bookers to move a pending Comover reservation off-platform.
- Using Comover's messaging system to redirect booking requests to another website or payment service to avoid Comover's fees.
Hosts remain free to accept reservations through their own channels independently of Comover.
Communication Between Hosts and Bookers
Comover provides messaging tools to help Hosts and Bookers communicate about reservations.
Communication outside Comover is permitted when reasonably necessary to organize or fulfill a booking, including:
- Coordinating arrival and access instructions.
- Discussing room arrangements or equipment requirements.
- Sharing practical contact information.
- Organizing additional services.
Hosts and Bookers should avoid sharing unnecessary personal information and must handle personal data in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
Contact information obtained through Comover must not be used for unsolicited marketing or shared with unrelated third parties without an appropriate legal basis.
Additional Services and Payments
Some venues offer services beyond the room or workspace itself, such as catering, refreshments, audiovisual equipment, or additional event arrangements.
Hosts may discuss, arrange, and charge separately for optional services that are not included in the original Comover reservation.
These services and their prices must be clearly communicated to the Booker.
However, the room or workspace rental booked through Comover must remain on the platform. Hosts must not reclassify part of the agreed rental price as an additional service to circumvent Comover's fees.
Additional services arranged and paid for directly with the Host are managed separately from the Comover reservation. Comover does not process their payments or administer their refunds.
External Links and Websites
Hosts may share links to their websites or other relevant resources when these help Bookers understand the venue or prepare for their visit.
External links must not be used to redirect Comover booking requests to another booking or payment process in order to avoid platform fees.
Identity Verification and Venue Access
Hosts may require additional information or procedures when reasonably necessary for security, building access, or legal compliance.
Examples include:
- Visitor registration at reception.
- Identity verification where required.
- Access instructions or security procedures.
- Use of an access application or visitor management system.
Any significant requirements should be clearly disclosed in the Spot description whenever possible.
Hosts should only collect the personal information necessary for the stated purpose.
Reviews and Feedback
Hosts and Bookers are encouraged to share feedback through Comover to help other members of the community make informed decisions.
This does not prevent Hosts or Bookers from leaving or requesting genuine reviews on other platforms.
Policy Violations
Comover may investigate suspected attempts to circumvent its booking or payment processes.
Depending on the nature and severity of a violation, we may issue a warning, restrict certain features, suspend an account, or terminate access to the platform.
Any action will be assessed in accordance with our Terms of Service and applicable law.
