Acceptable Use Policy
Comover Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy applies to the Comover platform and to the workspaces booked through it (together, the “Services”). It sets out the standards of conduct expected from Bookers, Hosts, and other users of Comover.
Users who engage in activities prohibited by this policy may have bookings cancelled, access to the Services restricted or suspended, or their account terminated. Where illegal activity, threats, or physical damage are involved, Comover may cooperate with competent authorities where required or appropriate.
This policy was last reviewed on 7 July 2026.
1. Respect for Workspaces and Their Communities
When using a workspace booked through Comover, users must respect the premises, the Host, staff, other occupants, and the surrounding community.
Prohibited conduct includes:
- Damaging, stealing, misusing, or defacing property, equipment, furniture, or amenities provided by the Host.
- Creating excessive noise, disruption, or other disturbances that unreasonably interfere with other people using the workspace.
- Remaining in a workspace beyond the booked period without the Host’s authorization or a confirmed extension.
- Using a workspace for illegal activities or for activities that are incompatible with the purpose, rules, or stated conditions of the workspace.
- Exceeding the permitted capacity of a workspace or materially misrepresenting the intended use of a booking.
2. Marketplace Integrity and Payments
Comover relies on accurate information, reliable bookings, and fair interactions between Bookers and Hosts. Users must not misuse the marketplace or attempt to circumvent its rules.
- Disintermediation: Bookers and Hosts must not use Comover primarily to discover one another and then complete the same booking or payment outside the Comover platform for the purpose of avoiding applicable fees or marketplace rules.
- Accurate representation: Hosts must accurately describe their workspaces, amenities, capacity, availability, pricing, and material conditions. Listings must not contain misleading information or substantially misrepresent the workspace being offered.
- Honoring confirmed bookings: Hosts are expected to honor confirmed bookings except where cancellation is permitted under applicable Comover rules or where exceptional circumstances make the booking impossible to fulfil.
- Misleading pricing: Hosts must not manipulate prices, discounts, promotions, or reference prices in a misleading manner, including artificially increasing a price to create the appearance of a discount.
- Fraudulent activity: Users must not create false bookings, use fraudulent payment methods, abuse promotions, impersonate another person or organization, or otherwise attempt to deceive Comover, Hosts, Bookers, or payment providers.
3. Digital Security, Data and Spam
Users must not misuse Comover’s digital services, infrastructure, communications features, or data.
Prohibited activities include:
- Introducing viruses, malicious code, or other technology intended to damage, disrupt, interfere with, or gain unauthorized access to Comover or third-party systems.
- Attempting to access another user’s account, restricted systems, private data, or Comover’s infrastructure without authorization.
- Scraping, crawling, mining, systematically extracting, or reproducing data from the Comover platform without authorization, except where permitted by applicable law.
- Sending unsolicited, repetitive, deceptive, or abusive commercial communications through Comover’s messaging or communication features.
- Using the Services in a manner intended to overload, disrupt, disable, or materially degrade the operation of the platform.
4. Harassment, Discrimination and Harmful Conduct
Comover is intended to provide a professional and welcoming environment. Users must not use the Services to harass, threaten, intimidate, abuse, or unlawfully discriminate against another person or group.
Prohibited conduct includes:
- Threats, harassment, intimidation, stalking, or abusive behavior directed at Hosts, Bookers, workspace staff, other occupants, or Comover personnel.
- Hate speech or conduct that promotes or incites hatred, violence, or unlawful discrimination against individuals or groups.
- Using Comover or a booked workspace to intentionally infringe the rights, safety, privacy, or property of another person.
5. Illegal and Prohibited Activities
Users must comply with all applicable laws and regulations when using Comover or any workspace booked through the platform.
The Services must not be used to facilitate illegal activity, fraud, violence, the distribution of unlawful goods or services, or any other activity that may expose Comover, a Host, or another user to legal or security risks.
6. Enforcement
Comover may investigate suspected violations of this policy and take measures it considers appropriate based on the nature and severity of the conduct.
These measures may include:
- issuing a warning;
- removing or restricting content or listings;
- cancelling or restricting bookings;
- temporarily suspending access to the Services;
- terminating an account; or
- taking other reasonable action where necessary to protect users, Hosts, Comover, or third parties.
7. About this Policy
This policy provides a non-exclusive list of activities and conduct that Comover considers unacceptable. Conduct not expressly listed above may still violate this policy where it creates a material risk to users, Hosts, third parties, or the operation of the Services.
We may modify this policy from time to time by publishing an updated version on our website. Unless otherwise stated, the revised version will become effective on the earlier of:
- the date the user interacts with the Services after the revised version has been published; or
- 30 days after publication of the revised version.
